FoxMark ("we," "our," or "us") is a reading tracker app that helps you log books, track your reading stats, and connect with other readers. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. Data We Collect

Account information

• Email address — used to create and authenticate your account
• Username — displayed on your profile and to other users

Reading activity

• Books added to your shelf, including reading status, dates, ratings, and page counts
• Tropes and genres you tag on books
• Reading goals and challenges
• Monthly and yearly reading stats generated from your activity
• Book searches you perform within the app

Social activity

• Accounts you follow and accounts that follow you
• Reviews and ratings you write, which are public and visible to other readers
• Safety actions you take, such as users you block and reports you submit about content or other users

Purchase history

• Whether you have an active premium subscription, so we can unlock premium features

Device and diagnostics (ephemeral)

• Crash logs and app performance data, processed temporarily in memory and not stored on our servers

2. How We Use Your Data

• To operate your account and sync your reading activity across devices
• To generate your reading stats, recaps, and monthly summaries
• To power social features like following other readers and public reviews
• To keep the community safe — for example, filtering objectionable content and acting on reports and blocks
• To provide and manage your premium subscription
• To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Your data is shared only with the following service providers who help us operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication and subscription management
• Google Play — subscription management on Android

These providers process your data only as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Some profile information — such as your username, public shelf, and the reviews and ratings you post — may be visible to other users of the app.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your reading data

You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings → Delete Account. For any other requests, contact us at the address below.

6. Children's Privacy

FoxMark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Affiliate Links & Disclosures

FoxMark participates in affiliate advertising programs. This means that when you click certain links in the app or on our website and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

We participate in the following affiliate programs:

• Amazon Associates — As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
• Audible — We are a participant in the Audible Affiliate Program. Audible is an Amazon company, and purchases made through our Audible links may earn us a commission.
• Bookshop.org — We are an affiliate of Bookshop.org and earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through our links. Bookshop.org supports independent bookstores.

Affiliate links do not influence our book recommendations. We only link to books and services we believe are genuinely useful to our community. This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR § 255).

No personal data is shared with these affiliate programs beyond what is standard for any web link (e.g., your IP address and the referring page). We do not share your account information, reading history, or any other app data with these programs.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you within the app.
