Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FoxMark mobile app and related services ("FoxMark," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using FoxMark, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The Service

FoxMark is a reading tracker that helps you log books, track your reading stats, set reading goals, and connect with other readers. We may add, change, or remove features at any time to improve the app.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use FoxMark.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions (FoxMark Premium)

FoxMark offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, FoxMark Premium, which unlocks exclusive features such as recaps, monthly bookmarks, data import, and advanced stats. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly and yearly basis.

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate of your selected plan.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Any applicable taxes are added as required.
• If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

4. Managing & Cancelling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings, or via the in-app subscription management screen. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We are generally unable to issue refunds directly for purchases made through the app stores.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Harass, abuse, impersonate, or harm other users;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems;
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in FoxMark, such as reviews, ratings, and shelf data. By posting content that is visible to other users, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it within the app for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you share.

7. User-Generated Content & Community Standards

FoxMark includes social features — public reviews, ratings, profiles, and following — where content you create may be visible to other readers. We are committed to a safe community and have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

You agree not to post, share, or transmit content that:

• is offensive, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or bullying;
• is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic;
• promotes violence, self-harm, illegal activity, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
• is spam, a scam, or intentionally deceptive; or
• infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others, or that you do not have the right to share.

Reporting & blocking. You can report objectionable content or a user from the "•••" menu on any review or profile, and you can block abusive users so that you no longer see each other's content or activity. You may also report concerns by emailing wardcarmen91@gmail.com.

Our response. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and will act within 24 hours by removing the offending content and, where appropriate, ejecting the user who provided it. We may remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, that violates these Terms — at our discretion and without prior notice. By using FoxMark's social features, you agree to these community standards.

8. Affiliate Links

FoxMark participates in affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates, Audible, and Bookshop.org. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through certain links, at no additional cost to you. See our Privacy Policy for full disclosure details.

9. Disclaimers

FoxMark is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that book data (such as covers, page counts, or metadata) will always be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoxMark and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using FoxMark and delete your account at any time under Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of FoxMark after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
